At its core, it enables simultaneous turning and grinding in a single clamping operation, thereby eliminating the common pain points of conventional sequential machining—such as clamping errors, low efficiency, and large footprint—and has become the mainstream solution for high-precision batch production of brake discs. It performs precision end-face grinding on both brake surfaces, achieving final specifications of Ra 0.4–1.6, DTV ≤ 0.004 mm, and parallelism ≤ 0.01 mm. By consolidating the two processes, machining time is reduced by 40%–60%, while delivering both turning and grinding capabilities for both brake surfaces. This reduces equipment handling and manual intervention, more than doubles production capacity, and allows a single unit to replace 2–3 conventional machines.
